近年来随着综合国力的日益强大,我们如何制定“国家文化战略”日益成为热门话题,与迅猛的经济发展相比,中国文艺事业的发展显得有些滞后,如何在精彩纷呈的国际文化艺术舞台上争得一个有利的位置,激发中国当代文艺的创造活力,从而在国际上发挥我们文化的影响力;仅仅依靠文化艺术自然的发展显然不够,还需要国家政策和强大经济后盾的支持。这一点已被历史实践证明。而美国抽象表现主义获得成功,以之为契机世界艺术中心从巴黎转向纽约,就是这其中最典型的一个事例。对于这段历史,争议颇多,而目前最需要的是以平和的心态,研究的态度来分析:美国的文化艺术战略在哪些地方是成功的,哪些做法是值得借鉴的,这是一个非常有意义的话题,本期发表的王南溟的文章是一个开端,希望以后有更多的研究者在发展国家文化战略问题上有更深入的研究成果出来,以为我们的现实操作提供有价值的参考。
