Contemporary art has reached a turning point. Chinese art after the Cultural Revolution can be divided into two periods: the post-Cultural Revolution of the 1980s and the period of cultural consumption of the 1990s. Nowadays, the latter’s historical credo, which devoted itself to the logic of the market, has shown a clear sign of decadentness. Therefore, the discussion on the value of art has new meaning.
