利用夏洛莱种羊作父本,小尾寒羊作母本,进行级进杂交,级进二、三代时,选择理想后代种公羊交配F2、F3代母羊,横交固定,实行本品种繁育,其生产性能指标为成年公羊体重110～130千克,母羊体重70～80千克,符合肉种羊生产性能指标要求,填补了我国肉羊品种空白.
