The transcranial Doppler (TCD) technique was used to measure the intracranial arterial blood flow velocity in 156 male and 245 female general migraineurs. The results showed that the overall rate of change of the main arterial hemodynamics in both men and women was basically the same (P> 0.05). However, the percentage of accelerated blood flow was significantly lower in males than in females (P <0.01), while the percentage of blood flow slowed down (P <0.01), with the majority of females exhibiting accelerated blood flow. Migraine hemodynamic changes have the same value, suggesting that there are some differences between men and women. And it is worth further study.
