The 20th century is a century in which human material civilization and medicine d eveloped the most rapidly, many causes of diseases unknown before were found mol ecularly, many diseases or terminal diseases uncurable before were cured with ne w therapeutic methods, many fatal contagious diseases that had caused corps over the wildess were controlled effectively, catheter techniques and operations could be used anywhere in the human body so long as they were needed, and new di agnostic and therapeutic techniques emerged one after another; medical progress made an ever-lasting contribution to human health.
