唐赋创作繁荣,近些年来,对唐赋的研究渐渐升温,但对器用物品入赋的现象较少关注。唐代镜赋创作数量多,质量高,内容丰富、主旨取向、艺术手法都有开拓和进展,具有较高的文学价值和文化意义。唐代镜赋的主旨主要为:赞颂君主之仁德;歌颂君子之美德;抒发赋家“自我”之情思。在艺术上的独特之处为:风格的雅正;“体物”的回归;视野的阔大;对比烘托的手法、双起双收的结构。儒家视镜为正德修身的象征,道家视镜为“道”的体现者,道教更视镜为神异的宝器,镜赋生动地反映了当时的文化观念、社会风俗及制造工艺。
