由于没有现成的机床,直径在1.6m以上大尺寸、单件的直齿锥齿轮的切齿加工十分困难,我们利用工厂现有的设备进行组合,增添少量专用工装,完成了一只直径φ1670mm、精度9-D(JB180-60)的大尺寸直齿锥齿轮(图1)的切齿加工。图2为设备组合情况,它由X8126万能工具铣床、HG80机械工作滑台和φ800分度盘组成。联接板7将X8126工具铣床与HG80机械工作滑台联接起来;用两块斜度等于大直齿锥齿轮根锥角的斜垫铁8固定在HG80工作滑台与φ800分度盘之间,以保证工作台面应有的倾角;用等高规4保证切齿深度;切齿的分度功能由φ800分度盘完成,分度数的选择由下式求得:
