Soil erosion is a function of rainfall erosion, soil erodibility, topography and vegetation. Soil erodibility is soil sensitivity to erosion and is difficult to determine. Soil scientists have for many years studied the relationship between soil erodibility and soil physical properties. Two indexes of soil erodibility were put forward, one was from the mechanical composition of soil and the other was from the degree of agglomeration and the stability of aggregate. The purpose of this study was to analyze the indicators of erodibility for dark earth under laboratory conditions. Dark earth is widely distributed in Japan, accounting for about 1/6 of the total area. It is characterized by the predominance of non-crystalline clay minerals and accumulation of organic matter and generally has resistance to water erosion. Warkentin and Maeda do not think that
