In order to carry out the spirit of the important speech made by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the symposium on literary and art work, carry forward the excellent Chinese traditional culture and promote literary creation. In order to celebrate the completion of the famous modern poet Wang Yaping Memorial Hall and promote Comrade Wang Yaping’s patriotic sentiment toward unremitting efforts and struggle, Writers Association of Hebei Province, Xingtai City Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Wei County People’s Government of the CPC Wei County and Weixian People’s Government decided to jointly hold the first “Wang Yaping Cup” competition of essay writing of modern poetry at home and abroad.
