Poly ADP-ribosyltransferase poly (ADP-ribose) is catalyzed by chromatin-bound poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase and synthesized in eukaryotic nuclei. Poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase, also known as poly (ADP-ribose) synthase or transferase, is one of a group of ADP-ribosyltransferases that catalyze the N - glycosyl bond cleavage of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NA-D), and the ADP-ribose moiety is transferred to a variety of acceptor molecules to form a covalent bond. A homogeneous poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase has been isolated and purified from many tissues such as thymus, liver and tonsils. The characteristics of this polymerase from many tissues are similar to ours
