About a year ago, an old alumnus in Nanjing sent a letter of correspondence and asked me to write an account of Mr. Chiang Ching-kuo’s story in Taiwan. I am more than eighty years old. I have already seen the truth of the world and the past is like a cloud of smoke. What is it about? But after all, I am a Chinese and have a strong affection for the motherland that is hard to dissolve.
