本文运用文学伦理学批评理论对库切的《等待野蛮人》进行解读,阐释贯穿作品的多个伦理隐喻和伦理话语的建构,解析老行政长官如何陷入伦理困境并最终通过伦理选择走出困境,从而解构老行政长官对文明与野蛮的心理认知过程,揭示作品深层的伦理呼唤和道德教诲。
This article uses the theory of literary ethics criticism to explain Coetzee’s “waiting for barbarians”, interprets the construction of multiple ethical metaphors and ethical discourses throughout the work, analyzes how the old chief executive plunged into ethical predicament and finally stepped out of predicament through ethical choices, Deconstruct the old chief executive’s cognitive process of civilization and savage psychology, and reveal the deep ethical appeal and moral education of his works.
