50km范围内2级以上地震年频数的空间扫描图,揭示了1970年以来晋北及其附近地区5级以上地震发生前,震中附近地区出现的地震空区.文中展示了从1970—1995年每年的空间扫描图,供分析对比。由这些图可以看到,图中所示的地震空区,都不是永久性的空区,而是震前由于应力场发生变化而产生的空区。由空区出现至发震约2—4年.震后空区消失。依据1994─1995年7月在该地区出现的空区,结合地质背景提出了预测意见.
