煤矿行业近年来面临市场压力较大，许多原来大型煤矿基地都不堪重负，或裁员、或亏损、或倒闭，作为一家乡镇企业，山西宁乡县七一煤矿也不例外地走入了亏损队列。截止１９９７年，七一煤矿亏损了９０余万元，借债达１００多万，而当时全年销售额才仅到２００万。但让人惊奇的是，仅在第二年，七一煤矿又迅速扭亏，不但清还了借款，而且市场占有率逐年上升，成为当地煤炭行业中的一匹黑马，煤炭工业部授予七一煤矿“乡煤之星”荣誉称号和省、地县各级单位的嘉奖。为探寻七一煤矿的成功秘诀，记者对其矿长刘耀狮先生进行了专访。
In recent years, the coal mining industry has been facing market pressure. Many of the original large-scale coal mines were overwhelmed, layoffs, losses or failures. As a township and village enterprise, the coal mines in Ningxiang County, Shanxi Province, are no exception. By 1997, 71 coal mines had lost more than 90 million yuan and borrowed more than 1 million yuan, while the annual sales volume was only 2 million yuan. Surprisingly, however, in the second year alone, 71 coal mines have quickly turned losses again, not only have their borrowings repaid, but their market shares have risen year by year, becoming a dark horse in the local coal industry and the coal industry ministry has granted Qiyi Coal Mine “Coal Star” honorary title and provincial and county units at all levels of awards. In order to explore the secrets of the success of the July 1 coal mine, the reporter interviewed Mr. Liu Yaoshi, the director of the mine.
