In the autumn of 1992, chess grandmaster Bobby Fisher returned to retirement 20 years later and launched a world-renowned chess match with his veteran Boris Spassky. Following the 1972 World Cup victory over Reykjavik in World Champion Sparqui, Fisher also deftly won. Fischer, eight times the nation’s champion, is not only the first American to take the title of the World Chess Tournament, but also the youngest player ever to win the title of grandmaster in chess history. This time, his dramatic comeback opened a new chapter in his illustrious chess career. Fisher is also known for his strong personality and quirky behavior: his isolation, his public contempt for the press, and his sometimes inexplicable abandonment of the game often make him a topic of conversation.
