生晒参为五加科多年生草本植物人参的根(除去支根)洗净晒干而成,载培者称园生晒参,野生者称野生晒山参,主产于我国辽宁、吉林、黑龙江等省。 西洋参又称“洋参”、“花旗参”,主产于北美洲和加拿大等地,现我国从美国及加拿大少量进口,一些地方有引种。 四洋参与西晒参外形很相似,均呈圆柱形或纺锤形,表面为灰黄色,参体可见纵皱纹,断面淡黄白色,有棕色树脂管,味微苦、甘。
