Recently, Greenpeace exposed the research by the United States Tufts University research institutions using Hunan children as a test to try to eat genetically modified “gold rice”, and has also been the relevant parties of both China and the United States to varying degrees of recognition. Later, some people even compared the evaluation of this incident with the human test of Japan’s 731 unit during the war of resistance against Japan. Yuan Longping, a well-known rice breeding expert in China, also said he could try transgenic rice, but at the same time, he also indicated that it is of little practical significance to try food because of age and other reasons. Of course, this is just a discussion from the field of morality or science. From the point of view of pesticides, the author discusses the current problems and development directions of this kind of transgenic plant pesticides.
