这个项目是日本一所著名美术大学的新图书馆。项目设计了一座新的图书馆,并将现有的建筑改造为美术馆,以新的方式将图书馆与美术馆融为一体。我在构思图书馆的建筑要素时想到了书、书架、光和场所。在我的想象中浮现出一个由螺旋形书架环绕的场所。这个包围在无限螺旋中的空间就是图书馆。有着巨大开口的9m高墙层层叠叠,犹如一座无边无垠的书林。螺旋书架不断攀升,最后成为包围场地边缘的外墙,使建筑的外观具有与“书架图书馆”相同的基本构成。检索与探索是图书馆设计的两个明显的内在矛盾。检索在
This project is a new library of a famous art university in Japan. The project designed a new library and transformed the existing building into a museum of art, integrating the library with the museum in a new way. I thought of books, bookshelves, light, and places while contemplating architectural elements of the library. In my imagination, a place surrounded by spiral shelves emerges. The space enclosed in the infinite spiral is the library. 9m tall walls with huge openings fold like a boundless book forest. The spiral bookshelf continues to climb and eventually becomes the outer wall that surrounds the edge of the site, giving the appearance of the building the same basic composition as the Library Bookshelf.
