In September 2012, the US FDA approved Innocutis’ polyureaurethane 16% Nuvail for one-time application to treat fragility associated with cracks or rips that have been damaged or chipped The nails, nail dystrophy. The active ingredients contained in Nuvail have a strong adhesion to the nails surface and form a breathable barrier on the damaged nails. The breathable barrier allows oxygen to enter the nail deck but prevents water absorption, thereby blocking wet-dry circulation that can cause nail damage, resulting in the protection and strengthening of the nails.
