密云水库在密云县城北十余公里,距北京约一百公里。在库区内跨有潮河和白河,建成后的水库面积,相当于一百个昆明湖,蓄水量将比十三陵水库大六十倍。参加修建的民工,共有20万人,已于去年九月正式开工。在党委的领导下,为了保障民工的健康,促进工程顺利的进行,曾在开工以前,吸取了十三陵水库、怀柔水库工地的丰富经验,制定了全面的卫生计划和制度,在开工后四个月以来,不断地开展了除四害、计卫生运动,使得卫生工作与生产任务相结合,大大地发挥了工地卫生的作用,保证了水库工程的突飞猛进。现在,分 Miyun Reservoir in Miyun County, more than ten kilometers north of the city, about 100 kilometers away from Beijing.
