美国人进饭店,一般自己不随便找座位,要等领座员来带领。相互之间不认识的人,是不可以坐在一起进餐的。如果饭店客满了,后来的人可在进门处小客厅的沙发上坐着,等其他客人走了,再由领座员带领入座。美国人认为在餐桌上两手放在桌子上等菜是不礼貌的,在吃东西和喝汤时, Americans into the hotel, generally do not find their own seat, to wait for the leadership to lead.
