Zhang Tai-yan not only promoted Buddhism when he exiled to Japan in 1906, but also adopted a tolerant attitude toward the folk religions that believe in “monstrous chaos”. Historical traditions, revolutionary needs, and the influence of Japanese religious scientist Sachi Masaki on religious theory are the internal and external motives of Zhang Taiyan’s thought changes. The reason why he partially absorbed the thought of Masaharu Sosaki is that his cognitive theory of representationalism and “desire ” and “ideal ” relied on the knowledge structure of his primary school and Xun Xun’s studies. Sister Imam’s idea that religion has a great deal of energy is more in line with the inner impulse and the realistic pursuit of the anti-Manchu revolution. Sister Misaki theory inspired the new creativity of Taiyan thought. While learning about Takesaki’s thoughts, he also achieved some transcendence.
