Today, the extreme climate triggered by global warming is frequent and various disasters are getting closer. To this end, some scientists have used creative thinking to suggest ideas such as ice making in the Arctic and glazing of melted glaciers. These practices, which break the routine, look a little whimsical, but hopefully they can help to mitigate the adverse effects of global warming. One coup: making ice in the Arctic Because of global warming, the Earth’s polar glaciers are accelerating melting. In particular, in the Arctic, large amounts of freshwater produced by melting glaciers have entered the Arctic Ocean, causing the salinity of seawater to drop, resulting in changes in the ocean current. As a major factor in regulating the global climate, if the ocean currents in the northern hemisphere cease, the oceans will lose the function of regulating the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and extinction of a large number of marine life. The fertile northern Europe will become an ice-cold world with disastrous consequences.
