In order to reduce the emission of carbon dioxide caused by vehicles, extensive research has been carried out. As a result, the sales of diesel vehicles worldwide have been greatly increased. At the same time, exhaust gas aftertreatment systems have also started to be used in emerging markets, such as open or closed diesel particulate traps, due to increasingly stringent emission limits. Introduced FEV’s emission control concepts and exhaust aftertreatment technologies and the challenges they face based on the boundary conditions of these countries, and some suitable solutions to this.
