本文报告一个测量掺铒光纤非线性折射率的新方法,该方法把掺铒光纤制作成一个环形谐振器。由掺铒光纤非线性导致的位相变化将改变环形谐振器的输出强度,通过输出强度的测量可以得出光纤的非线性折射率。实验结果证实了这种方法的可行性。
This paper reports a new method of measuring the nonlinear index of refraction of erbium-doped fibers by making erbium-doped fibers into a ring resonator. The phase change caused by the erbium-doped fiber nonlinearity will change the output intensity of the ring resonator. The nonlinear refractive index of the fiber can be obtained by measuring the output intensity. The experimental results confirm the feasibility of this method.
