美国国立卫生院 (NationalInstituteofHealth ,NIH)是美国政府唯一的公立医学科研和行政管理机构 ,它以基金的形式对医学科研进行指导和调控。本文分析了 2 0 0 3年NIH资助的研究领域和强度 ,特点如下 :一是基金计划性强 ;二是主要资助在美国危害大的常见病多发病 ,也照顾了一些少数人种的多发病及罕见遗传病的研究 ;三是与时俱进 ,资助一些急需解决的医学问题 ;四是对疾病的预防资助力度大 ,这部分不属于纯研究范畴。我国的国家基金 ,在改进管理体制和基金计划性、以及在资助医务人员和公众对疾病的预防知识和技能方面还有待加强。
The National Institute of Health (NIH) is the only public medical research and administrative agency of the U.S. government. It guides and regulates medical research in the form of funds. This article analyzes the NIH-funded research fields and strengths in 2003. The characteristics are as follows: First, the fund is highly planned; second, it mainly supports the frequent occurrence of common diseases that are endangered in the United States, and also takes care of the frequent occurrence of some ethnic minorities. Research on rare and inherited diseases; Third, advancing with the times and funding for some urgently needed medical problems; Fourth, the funding for the prevention of diseases, which is not a purely research area. Our country’s national fund needs to be strengthened in terms of improving the management system and fund program, as well as in the financing of medical personnel and public prevention knowledge and skills for the disease.
