对观音阁水库水质卫生学状况分别在蓄水后１年、２年设置８个采样断面按国家《地面水环境质量标准》ＧＢ３８３８８８对蓄水河流沿途纳污情况进行了调查分析，并将调查结果与蓄水河流卫生学状况进行了分析比较。结果：随时间推移，水质合格率逐年提高，蓄水后库区水质２年间比较无统计学差异，但与蓄水河流相比，水质状况好于蓄水前，统计学有显著性差异。调查结果表明，库区水质符合国家地面水Ⅱ级质量标准。
