核武器的威力,世人皆知。一颗原子弹,曾经影响了第二次世界大战的结局。当是时,日本以一蕞尔岛国,不仅想称霸亚洲大陆,而且企图称霸世界。它四处燃战火,侵略我国达8年之久,又在珍珠港实施突袭,将战火烧到大洋彼岸。大战后期,尽管它国力不敷,却一直顽抗到底,美国在广岛的一颗原子弹,才使行将落败的日本最后屈服……第二次世界大战结束后,世界上的一些强国先后都拥有了核武器。这些已经拥有核武器的国家,尤其是两个超级大国,他们极度幻想垄断核武器,以便称霸世界。中国领导人毛泽东,历来不信邪,他在国际形势的重压之下,下定决心要打破核垄断,他领导中国人民,在我国的大西北开始了核试验……打破了核垄断,站起来了的中国人才真正挺直了腰杆。
