Since the thickness of the magnetic layer has an influence on the information resolution, the maximum thickness is important. The relationship between thickness and resolution found in the area we are discussing is linear. Figure 16 shows the resolution measurement (bit pattern: 01001111 ...), which shows the amplitude reduction that does exist in the worst-case bit pattern.
