The Mesozoic Sikhote-Alin fold system can be divided into three sectors: (1)Badzhal-Lower Amnr, (2)Central, (3)Primorsky. In the Sikhote-Alin section one can distinguish 1) the basement complex, 2)the main fold complex and 3)non-fold complex. The basement complex is made of Proterozoic(?) metamorphicrocks, and the main fold complex, various deposits of Middle Paleozoic up to Lower Cretaceous. In some zones, the main fold complex contains proposed Jurassic-Lower Cretaceous mixtites and olistostromes of older ages. A distinctive feature of the Sikhote-Alin geological development since the Late Paleozoic has been repeated manifestation of the regime of the active continental margin.
