6月份一汽集团与天津汽车工业公司重组之时,人们就在猜测,一汽集团的真正目的在于和丰田公司牵手。事实很快证实了这一点。两个月后的8月底,也就是中日恢复邦交正常化30周年之际,一汽集团公司总经理竺延风、丰田汽车公司社长张富士夫在北京正式签署了合作协议。根据这一协议,到2010年两家公司合作生产的汽车可望达到年产30万-40万辆的规模。
When the FAW Group reorganized with Tianjin Automobile Industrial Co. in June, people were speculating that FAW Group’s real purpose was to hand in hand with Toyota. The fact quickly confirmed this. Two months later at the end of August, the 30th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, Zhu Yanfeng, general manager of FAW Group Corporation and Zhang Fushuof, president of Toyota Motor Corporation, formally signed a cooperation agreement in Beijing. Under the agreement, the co-production of cars by the two companies by 2010 is expected to reach an annual output of 300,000-400,000 units.
