荷兰代尔夫特理工大学中央图书馆建筑设计奇特,被誉为目前世界上最具有未来派艺术特征、最为现代化的图书馆之一。该图书馆总建筑面积1.4万平方米,位于校园内的普罗米修斯广场,1998年春天正式开放。大楼造型别致,远看似乎从天外飞来,落在校园里。这幢建筑三面皆为巨大的玻璃幕墙,另一面则倾斜成为大楼屋顶,并继续延伸使整个屋顶与地面合而为一,形成一个大草坪,成为校园自然风景的一部分。建筑师希望学生们充分利用
The unique design of the Central Library of Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands is regarded as one of the most modern libraries in the world with the characteristics of futuristic art. The library has a total construction area of 14,000 square meters, located in the campus of Prometheus Square, the spring of 1998 officially opened. Building unique shape, seems far from the sky seems to fly, fell on the campus. The building has huge glass façades on three sides and sloping to the roof of the building on the other side, continuing to extend the entire roof to the ground to form a large lawn that forms part of the campus’s natural landscape. The architects want students to take full advantage of it
