我和江西美术出版社合作,编辑出版《二十世纪欧美具象艺术丛书》,意图很简单,希望能够开阔视野,活泼思路。 “具象”一词极好,概括了以形象作为主要表达手段的一大类造型艺术,与“抽象”相对。它的内涵十分宽泛,远非“写实”所能企及;相反,“写实”只是“具象”的一种,有明确的含义,专指文艺复兴科学写实体系。 我们过去长期被狭窄的“写实”概念束缚得很紧,只能在国画的写意画领域稍稍喘一口气。其形势很象印象主义以前的欧洲,即学院主义称孤道寡的沉闷局面。而且,我们实际上是受到欧洲学院主义的牵累。
I and Jiangxi Fine Arts Publishing House, editing and publishing “20th Century Europe and the United States figurine art series”, the intention is very simple, hoping to broaden their horizons, lively ideas. The term “figurative” is an excellent one, which summarizes a great variety of plastic arts with image as the main means of expression, as opposed to “abstraction.” Its connotation is very broad, far from “realism” can match; on the contrary, “realism” is only “concrete” one, has a clear meaning, specifically refers to the Renaissance scientific realistic system. In the past, we were constrained by the narrow concept of “realistic” for a long time and could only breathe a little in the field of traditional Chinese painting. The situation is very much the same as before Impressionism, which is the dullness of academicism. Moreover, we are in fact under the influence of European college doctrine.
