在高空模拟实验器上,进行了具有不同性质的几种国产喷气燃料的高空点火性能研究.喷气燃料的试验是在一个航空发动机的预燃室点火器内进行.试验的燃料主要有:大庆油,大港油,南京油,孤岛油(即所谓的大比重油)和一种混合油.试验结果表明,燃油的密度愈低(其粘性也愈低,饱和蒸汽压愈高),其高空点火性能愈好.大比重油的高空点火性能相当不良,但用少量优质大庆油掺混(约百分之十)后可得到显著改善.使用小流量数喷嘴可显著改善大比重油的贫油点火性能,但点火的压力-速度边界和富油点火边界缩小了.试验结果还表明,液雾火花点火的流行的理论模型是可行的.
