Many companies have good positions for Web professionals, but they do not want to be made public, but instead turn to Christopher Marler, director of multi-coal research programs at San Francisco State University. Why? Because there are many positions, there are not many suitable candidates. Marler said: “I received a lot of calls saying that they didn’t want to advertise because many people didn’t understand anything other than the basics of HTML.” That’s why the school will launch a new Web development certification program this fall. It is also why USWeb will launch its own program to certify Web professionals next month.
