This essay challenges the comprehension of Zhengxuanpian as a simple form of culture and analyzes in detail the great efforts that Hollywood films have made to participate in war propaganda during the Second World War. We saw new attempts at narrative patterns in the Hollywood film during this period as well as the inevitable limitations of these attempts, the structural impossibility, and the threat posed to the Hollywood tradition as an escapeist amusement machine.
