君臣佐使是方剂的组成原则.历代医家一直遵循着这个原则用方、创方.但是对方剂的君臣佐使究应如何理解?现在一般都将君臣佐使只看做是具休的药物,即君药、臣药、佐药、使药,这对“组方原则’来说不够确切,因君臣佐使之药实际上是按其功效及其在本方中所起的作用而划分的,所以我认为更确切的是应该将君臣佐使看做”功效“.即一个方剂中应该包括四种功效:君效、臣效、佐效、使效,这样就使”组方原则“更加名符其实了.因为,第一,药与效是不同的,功效是由药物产生的,但方剂中的一种功效并非只从一药而来;
