袁复礼教授是我国著名的地质学家和教育家,是目前还健在的两位中国地质学会创立会员中年长的一位,也是我院建院元老。袁复礼教授从事地质科学和教育事业已经六十年。 几十年来,他献身于我国地质事业,历尽艰辛,兢兢业业,奋斗不息,功勋卓著,真是“探宝藏足迹遍中华,育英才桃李满天下”。特别是他严谨的治学态度,高尚的科学道德,重视实践、不畏艰险、顽强开拓的工作精神,关心他人,热心教育事业和地学各领域的建树,很值得我们学习和称颂。本期特辟专栏,发表袁老五十年前的文章和学生们的纪念论文,以飨读者。
Professor Yuan Fuli is a famous geologist and educator in China. He is also one of the two founding members of the China Geological Society who is currently still alive, and is also a veteran of the founding of our hospital. Professor Yuan Fuli has been engaged in geological sciences and education for 60 years. For decades, he devoted himself to the cause of geology in our country, through arduous work, working diligently, fighting endlessly and making outstanding achievements. In particular, his rigorous scholarship, noble scientific ethics, emphasis on practice, fearlessness and hard work, tenacious pioneering spirit, caring for others, enthusiastic about education and geosciences are worth our study and praise.
