The diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer is very difficult. In recent years, the incidence rate has been increasing. In the United States, it has become the fourth leading cause of cancer death in men. The annual mortality rate of female pancreatic cancer has also increased. However, how much this increase is true, the authors are deeply doubtful because of the great differences in diagnosis and statistical methods. For example, when 197 cases were found in Pancreatic cancer records registered in Connecticut, 100 pathologically confirmed pancreatic cancers were found. Of the 97 cases excluded, 70 were pathologically non-pathological (46 cases had undergone laparotomy. ); 27 cases are actually ampullary carcinoma, common bile duct cancer, duodenal cancer
