1975年,我们在对得克萨斯(T型)和莫尔达维亚(S或M型)不育系研究的同时,还研究了雄性细胞质C型不育问题.C型玉米植株,与T型相比,有抗特殊病害的能力;与M型相比,其结实率的恢复并不在配子体阶段,而在孢子体时期,在大田生产中,C型恢复的杂合株有活力的花粉达100%,而M型植株则不超过50%.但是,一些C型不育同型植株,在开花终期或散粉后期表现出部分“不育性丧失”现象,这种现象只有通过重复选择才能克服.“不育性丧失”增加了获得不育性同型系的困难.我们研究的获得不育同型系和同型保持系的方法,对恢复系来说,比较简便易行.
In 1975, we also studied male cytoplasmic C-type sterility while carrying out studies on Texas (T) and Moldavia (S or M) CMS lines.
