牧草中的氮(N)可分为中性和酸性洗涤剂溶解N(NDFN和ADFN)和不溶解N,用以粗略估计可迅速分解N(NDFN)和缓慢分解N(计算式NDFN-ADFN),称以上为瘤胃中可利用纤维N(AFN)和不能利用N(ADFN)。本文对紫花苜蓿、红三叶、猫尾草和无芒雀麦不同牧草种类、生长期和植株部位的总N、NDFN和ADFN含量进行了分析测定。豆科牧草叶、茎和全株的ADFN含量分别是禾本科牧草的2倍。四种牧草叶NDFN含量依次为9.8、26.4、8.6和6.4g/kgNDF,茎为4.2、4.6、3.2和2.4g/kgNDF;叶ADFN含量依次为4.6、5.3、2.0和1.6g/kgADF,茎为3.4、3.3、1.4和1.4g/kgADF。牧草茎、叶和全株的总N、NDFN和ADFN含量随牧草成熟而增加。茎中49%的NDFN是ADFN,叶中为21%。
