作为日本近代文学史上的文学巨匠,夏目漱石被日本人称为“国民大作家”实属当之无愧。其前期作品直触“文明”的种种弊端和人世的般般丑恶,而中后期作品则指向人的内心。作家深刻发掘了近代人内心世界的不安、烦恼和苦闷,尤其注重剖析近代知识分子的“自我”、无奈与孤独。发表于大正三年(1914年)4月的长篇小说《心》,就是一部代表其后期创作风格的向内转的作品。小说塑造了一位悲观厌世的知识分子“先生”的形象,并通过“先生”
As a literary master in the history of Japanese modern literature, Soseki Natsume is well-known as the “Nationalist writer” by the Japanese. The shortcomings of his previous works, such as “civilizations”, are as ugly as his lifetimes, while the works in the middle and late stages point to people’s hearts. The writer profoundly explored the anxiety, annoyance and depression of the inner world of modern people, paying particular attention to analyzing the “self ” of modern intellectuals, helplessness and loneliness. The novel Heart of the Heart, published in April of 1913 in Taisho, is an inward translation of the style of his later works. The novel shapes the image of a pessimistic, world-renowned intellectual “Mr.” and passes “Mr.”
