The new work The Pigeon Fight, launched in 2008 by the famous contemporary American writer Louise Erdrich, has written a century-old history that took place between the Indian and the white people in conflict and mutual blending. Based on the analysis of Erdirk’s strategy of writing history and the means of constructing historical narrative, this paper mainly discusses how the author obtains an effective discourse by getting marginalized Ojibwa into account by reconstructing a small history depreciated or neglected by the mainstream society And against the so-called single progressive history of European-Americans. The small history of the novel reflects the author’s strong historical awareness and revisionist editorial.
