本文研究双筒物镜的孔径调制的影响。其轴向象差特性是通过对设计数据计算得到的。在有轴向象差的情况下,测量调制孔径的 MTF。孔径调制用一块在光学平面上有一个不透明环带的遮光板来实现,它与被测的透镜相接触。MTF 随不透明环带的面积和位置变化。适当调整不透明环带的位置,可改善透镜的 MTF。把调制孔径的 MTF 曲线与同调制孔径面积相同的缩小的圆形孔径的 MTF 曲线作了比较。看来,多数光学系统的特性是可以用适当的孔径调制来改善的。
This paper investigates the effect of aperture modulation on binocular objectives. Its axial aberration characteristics are calculated from the design data. In the case of axial aberration, the MTF of the modulation aperture is measured. Aperture modulation is achieved with a light-shielding plate with an opaque annulus in the optical plane, which is in contact with the lens under test. MTF varies with area and position of the opaque annulus. Proper adjustment of the position of the opaque annulus can improve the MTF of the lens. The MTF curve of the modulated aperture was compared with the MTF curve of the reduced circular aperture of the same modulation aperture area. It appears that most optical system features can be modified with the appropriate aperture modulation.
