Virginia Gold Mines Company (VIA-M) has discovered a new mine at the Auclair mineral estate in the Eastbourne River in northern Quebec. The company also reported on the discovery of a volcanic-sedimentary gold belt in the Minto Vizien project in Lac Payne. Several proven gold deposits are located in gold-bearing structures of several meters in width with pyrite and arsenopyrite being soaked in gold with a gold content of 41.89 × 10 -6. The Minto-Vizien project is scheduled to begin next summer. Virginia can also get a 50% stake from Quebec crown company Soquem.
