太原南站主站房为地上2层(局部3层)、地下1层的框架结构。屋盖结构采用伞状桁架结构+X形钢柱的结构体系,不仅与建筑形态吻合,而且结构受力合理,具有一定的独特性。大跨度高架层和商业夹层采用钢桁架结构,具有良好的经济性和抗震性能。站台层为线侧结构,采用经济合理的预应力混凝土楼盖结构,结构构件布置均匀,截面选用合理,增加了出站厅的净高,体现了混凝土楼盖结构的美观。X形钢管混凝土柱与预应力混凝土梁节点中采用合理的结构措施,确保节点安全。整体分析和对复杂结构构件和节点进行非线性有限元分析表明,结构具有良好的安全性和经济性。

The overall analysis and nonlinear finite element analysis of complex structural members and joints show that the structure has good safety and economy.
