In the 1980s, Japan’s science and technology developed vigorously and quickly caught up with the United States and became the world’s second-largest scientific and technological country. However, Japanese technology is largely a copy paste model, with little original research and development. In the 20 most influential inventions in the world in the last century, the United States accounted for at least 16 items, the Soviet Union accounted for two items, and Japan did not have one, making the high technology such as the Internet that was invented by the United States in the 1990s, and the Japanese fax machines immediately unsalable. So although Japan rushes quickly, it cannot ultimately surpass the Japanese economy.
