The effects of sulfide on the corrosion resistance of 3 1 6L stainless steel simulated by simulated circulating cooling water were introduced by electrochemical method. The results showed that sulfur ions had a retarding effect on the formation of passivation film and slowed down the growth of passivation film. Sulfur ion concentration is greater, the smaller the electrode impedance. The presence of sulfur ions reduces the protection of the passivation film
