2006年,当空客决定将A320总装线落户天津时,波音曾将其视为“以技术换市场”的雕虫小技,但后来的事实证明,空客的这一战略获得了极大成功。自2008年投产以来,天津总装线交付的A320系列飞机已超过200架,帮助空客巩固了其窄体客机在中国市场的占有率。2014年10月,空客宣布将在天津建设A330完成及交付中心。虽然能否复制A320的成功经验目前尚不可知,但此举无疑会进一步提升空客在中国宽体客机市场的竞争力。
In 2006, when Airbus decided to set up the A320 assembly line in Tianjin, Boeing once regarded it as an “art-for-market” trick, but it turned out that Airbus’s strategy was a success. Since its commissioning in 2008, the Tianjin assembly line has delivered over 200 A320 series aircraft, helping Airbus to consolidate its narrow body aircraft market share in China. In October 2014, Airbus announced that it will build the A330 Completion and Delivery Center in Tianjin. Although it is unclear whether the successful A320 can be replicated, this move will undoubtedly further enhance Airbus’s competitiveness in the Chinese wide-body passenger aircraft market.
