【Objective】 To understand the impact of birth weight on physical and mental development of early infancy and to provide theoretical basis for the early health promotion of giant infants. 【Method】 Regular follow-up examination was performed on huge children and full-term suitable gestational age children born in obstetrics and gynecology department of our hospital to understand the physical and motor development characteristics of infants in the two groups. At 1 year old, Baby developmental assessment. 【Results】 The body weight, height and head circumference of macrosomia in 1-year-old children were all higher than those in full-age children of the same age (P <0.05). There was no significant difference between the two groups in the number of important motor indexes within 1 year Statistical significance (P> 0.05). At 1 year old, the mean of motor development index of giant children was higher than that of full-term children (P <0.05). 【Conclusion】 The physical development of normal born children within 1 year of age is significantly ahead of full-term suitable for gestational age children. The heavier body weight load is associated with the appearance of important exercise indexes within 1 year and the intelligence and motor development at 1 year Did not cause significant adverse effects.
